Cyber Safety & Digital Policy

Ensuring a Safe, Secure, and Responsible Digital Learning Environment for Every Child

Empowering Digital Citizens Responsibly

Delhi Public School Amritsar actively equips students with 21st-century technological tools while maintaining stringent digital safety, internet firewalls, and cyber hygiene protocols.

1. Campus Network & Lab Usage Guidelines

Our campus is equipped with high-speed internet, smart digital classrooms, Apple iPad labs, 3D printing labs, and the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL). To ensure safety:

  • All campus internet access is routed through enterprise-grade hardware firewalls and content filters that block age-inappropriate, violent, or unverified websites.
  • Students may access computing facilities only under the direct supervision of certified teachers and laboratory instructors.
  • Unauthorized installation of games, peer-to-peer software, proxy applications, or hacking utilities on school machines is strictly prohibited.

2. Zero-Tolerance Anti-Cyberbullying Policy

In full compliance with CBSE and Ministry of Education circulars, DPS Amritsar maintains a Zero-Tolerance Policy against cyberbullying:

  • Cyberbullying includes sending intimidating messages, posting derogatory comments, circulating altered photos, creating hostile social media groups, or excluding peers online.
  • Any student found engaging in online harassment—whether inside or outside school hours—faces disciplinary review, mandatory counseling, and suspension as determined by the School Disciplinary Committee.

3. Social Media & Digital Photography

Respecting the privacy of children and educators is fundamental:

  • Students and parents are not permitted to photograph or record audio/video of teachers, classmates, or campus facilities without prior administrative clearance.
  • No student or unauthorized person may establish social media handles, pages, or groups falsely representing Delhi Public School Amritsar or using the DPS brand logo.

4. Guidance for Parents on Digital Well-being

We believe in collaborative partnership between home and school to nurture responsible digital habits:

  • Encourage balanced screen time and prioritize physical sports, family conversation, and offline reading.
  • Keep connected computers and smart devices in common family spaces rather than behind closed bedroom doors.
  • If you notice any unusual online behavioral distress or cyber-harassment involving school peers, inform the class teacher or school counselor promptly.
Reporting Cyber Safety Concerns
