Fee Refund & Cancellation Policy

Transparent Guidelines for School Fees, Online Payments, and Caution Money Returns

Official Fee Regulation Policy

Delhi Public School Amritsar maintains a transparent, ethical, and structured fee policy in accordance with CBSE affiliation bylaws and Punjab State Education regulations.

1. Online Registration & Application Fee

The registration fee paid at the time of online application or enquiry is a one-time, non-refundable administrative processing charge. This fee covers the administrative cost of processing the dossier, candidate interaction, and verification of credentials.

2. Security Deposit / Caution Money Refund

The Security Deposit (Caution Money) deposited at the time of confirmed admission is 100% refundable when a student formally withdraws from the school, subject to the following standard conditions:

  • Submission of a formal written withdrawal application by the parent/guardian at least one month prior to the start of the subsequent academic quarter.
  • Obtaining full "No Dues Clearance" from all school departments, including the Library (return of all issued books), Sports Department, Science/Computer Labs, and Transport Wing.
  • The Caution Money is reimbursed via account payee cheque or direct bank NEFT/RTGS to the registered bank account of the father or mother within 30 to 45 working days of issuing the School Leaving / Transfer Certificate (TC).

3. Tuition Fee & Mid-Session Withdrawal

If a student is withdrawn mid-session due to parent transfer or relocation:

  • Tuition fees already paid for the current active quarter are non-refundable.
  • Advance tuition fees deposited for future quarters (that have not commenced) shall be refunded in full upon written verification.
  • Annual charges and one-time admission charges are non-refundable once the student has attended even a single day of the academic session.

4. Transport Fee Cancellation

School transport is an optional service provided on dedicated routes. If a parent wishes to discontinue school bus transport:

  • A written notice of at least 30 days must be submitted to the Transport Coordinator.
  • Bus fees for subsequent uncommenced months will be adjusted or refunded accordingly.

5. Resolution for Failed / Duplicate Online Fee Debits

When paying school fees through our online ERP portal (SchoolOnCloud / Bank Gateway):

  • If an amount is debited from your bank account or card but the fee receipt is not generated due to network timeout, the banking gateway automatically verifies and reconciles the transaction within 24 to 48 hours.
  • In case of a verified duplicate charge (where fee was deducted twice for the same student due to browser refresh), the excess payment is automatically refunded back to the originating bank account/card within 5 to 7 working banking days.
